Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Themac
I'm sorry you're still stuck in this terrible DWP loop while trying to manage your health battles. There is nothing comforting I can say at this stage. Twelves weeks is a long time and it doesn't help you, but others are reporting the same length of waiting time or longer.
Right at this moment, your physical health is more important and you don't want this adding to your distress. I can't tell you what to do, but if you don't have anyone else who can chase this for you, then I would leave it and take your consultant's advice and rest and stop chasing for the current time.
Sorry, I can't be more helpful.

Hi Thermac
I was replied to your previous post and then you posted the second one.
I'm not sure what advice you need here. If you are in danger of your heart problems being exacerbated by this stress, I would ring the assessment services and tell them the current situation and see if they will do a paper-based assessment for you. They might require a back-up letter from your GP, but I think it is worth trying. You could of course tell them that you are ill (more so than normal) and ask for another date, but that will add to your stress. Tell them exactly what the doctor said about you having to go to A&E.

Thanks to bis for your good feed back my nurse came today and more or less told me to relax as well and said how long are you going to wait to here from the Hospitial before you go yourself like they told you and I got sort of wrong for wearing my clothes as my trousers were rubbing on my conduit site and making it sore she said you should be just relaxing in your dressing gown that way you can be relaxed and it might help you a bit more I no we’re she is coming from as some days I don’t even feel like getting ready at all as I don’t even go out I have spoke to my son and partner about this also I might even be in Hospitial by then for this next surgery they planning to do on me my son said he will be here for the assessment and stop it if he sees any sign of distress I’m in or he will take over at once he said I’m going to speak to my x councillor who I’m still in touch with. Thankyou Mac

Having gone through what I have been through in the last few yrs I REALY should not be worried but after loosing all my pip for the last nearly 14 weeks now I am feeling a real financial burden my health is more important but I believe I should get what I am entitled to today I received a Hospitial letter regarding the next step in my operation on my parastomal bowel loop as it is REALY giving me more and more pain and suffering every day but I am determined to see this telephone interview through if I can the letter goes on to say that they are now planning my surgery as it has to involve 3 consultants my urologist and the colorectal surgeon who performed my last surgery on my right side and the new surgeon consultant who is leading my care in this new surgery with a bit luck it won’t be long before I’m in Hospitial I’m now thinking what will happen if I’m in Hospitial at the time of the call I don’t want to cancel the call I might just ask if they can do the paper assessment but will that go against me thanks to all your replies to date il let you no how I get on
