Well all Saturday 29thmay nearly 14 days since I had my telephone consultation a white envelope not brown I was waiting for it was white all in all my award for pip was for care it got dropped to the standard rate from enhanced for 3 yrs and back dated from January the mobility stayed at the same level of enhanced rate and the same back dated to January for 3 yrs thank you all for you help and support in this matter I am pondering on the care side of the award can I ask them to look at this again with out it affecting the mobility side as I’m very happy with that it is just the care side I have lost on or do I just leave it and be great full for what I have received as you no my health issues I now need to fully focus on that after been back in Hospitial last for another 7 days I’m weaker now but determined to carry on I’m now waiting for a surgeon to work along side my surgeon in a big surgery coming very soon 2 surgeons have already turned it down as it is to complex and out there scope so if I appeal for one side of this like the care side could it effect the mobility side kind regards in this matte4 THE MAC

Hi Themac
You can ask them just to look at the component you are not happy with but they may still look at both components. The first thing to do is to contact DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors report called PA4, this will tell you how they arrived at their decision.
You need to go through the report with a highlighter pen highlighting anything you disagree with if you do decide to apply for a MR, but check out our guides, it might help you make up your mind.
If you are going to put in for an MR you need to do it within one month of the decision. You should also ring and ask for the assessment report which will give you more details on you were scored.
