Hi, Sharon, I have never been asked questions about any savings or any other private financial details for PIP. It is not a 'means tested' benefit so why would they need to know? Is your PIP tied in to any other benefit?
My best guess is that the assessor was trying to decide if Sharon was entitled to points for the managing money descriptor. I have seen this tackled both with sensititivity and with a sledge hammer. If sounds as if Sharon felt the harsh touch of the sledge hammer, which is wrong.
