Hi All
Just though I’d update you on progress. Got assessment report today 48 hours after asking for second time. Relative has scored 13 points daily living and 12 points on moving around. Only recommendation of 18 months till a review. Seems short considering she’s autistic a lifelong condition. All done on paper review which helped keep her calm. Hopefully DM agrees with report but extends review date. Anyhow feels like a win for now till battle starts again. Thanks to this site and for advice. Good luck to all with their own battles don’t let them wear you down try to keep positive.

Absolutely delighted to hear that your relative has potentially been awarded enhanced PIP award. for both components, Great news. You just got to wait for the decision make to confer the decision.

Hi, well done, looking forward to your update when you get the decision. I believe it was in the Z2K report mentioned recently I read, people believe that the too-frequent assessments actually hinder people who might otherwise have managed to get a job from doing so, due to the bad effects on their health of it always hanging over you. I pleaded for a longer award last time and the time before on the grounds that our daughter's two main conditions [out of 7!] are born-with, incurable, but they did not care. As a taxpayer this infuriates me never mind the damage to people!
best wishes, Denby

Hi all
Thought I’d update on relative pip review. Letter has arrived was given enhanced in both as in assessment report. Given 2 1/2 years so a year more than in report so more time for her to relax.
Got another query though if someone could advise please
She put review form in 1/3/20 on form she put changes in daily living needs.
Award letter has given 13 points up from 9 in original pip award which would have run out in June 2020.
Am I right assuming she should have backdated payment due for daily living to last June ?

Hi Paul18

Delighted to hear that your relative has been awarded enhanced PIP for care and mobility.

Your question about a back payment is an interesting one. Was she given an extension because of COVID at - because you have the time lapse from 1/3/20 - which is over the year? I'm actually not sure what they would do and I would query it.

Yes was given extension till January 21. Since then she heard nothing but was still getting paid each month. Then out of blue got text saying assessment had been done and then this award. She was only receiving lower rate of care all time.
