Hi Phrank

There is always a chance that your award can be taken away at your paperbased review, as to whether

All I can say is we all wish you good luck and for you to let us know how you get on.

Gary

Hi Gary,

I'm getting a bit worried now. I don't know why I asked the question about possibly losing my award with a paper-based assessment.

A bit of assurance I suppose.

Surely with my GP letter highlighting problems, my other back-up evidence and now my MP getting involved - this would be enough to deter even the most hard-lined assessor from going against the hard facts?

I had a video call from my Clinical psychologist yesterday and when asked if I require a letter to support my claim I, like a fool, said no, it should be ok now.

Me and my big mouth.

Oh well,

Regards,

Phrank.

Hi phrank,
There is nothing else for you to at present. So at least for the rest of the weekend, enjoy yourself, and just forget about PIP!
Phone your consultant on Monday, and ask for a report. Normally a consultant would send a letter to your GP anyway, so I wouldn't worry I'm sure you can get some paperwork.
There is such a lot to do or be aware of when claiming any benefit. Simply just getting the forms and requested information together and sent on is challenge enough, let alone knowing what to put on the forms or what happens next.
It is therefore very easy to overthink the process. By definition a review is a chance to check everything is correct, so of course the resulting benefit can be amended. However, it is equally possible that the outcome is the same or maybe provides a greater award. It is impossible to try and second guess what will happen. I appreciate that it is very difficult, but hopefully you can find some something to distract you.
If you do not get the correct award, then everyone at B&W will be willing you on, and can hopefully provide information to deal with the next set of problems that might arise. If and when that occurs it will be tomorrow's or next weeks problem. No need to worry now!
Enjoy your weekend.
Good luck.

HI LL26,

Thanks for your in detail reply - really appreciated.

I have just emailed my Psychologist and explained about the letter.

As for now, you are right there is nothing I can do, so I will try to forget things and have a beer or two later on.

This is one of my main problems - my anxiety turns into inexplicable worry and it's so hard to think of anything positive.

kind regards,

phrank.

Phone on Monday and say “actually, could you let me have that letter please?”
Even if you don’t need it this time, you never know when it will come in handy!
