Hi chaulky

I have to agree with Catherine, there are some very good Welfare Rights Organisation and there are some poor ones. As stated by Dixip below I would always review any forms completed by a third party before sending it off.
To be fair on the person completing the form, they can only add information that they have been informed of and therefore it is down to them to ask the right questions and not to be in a hurry, thats where short cuts are made to the detriment of the claimant.

Hello Chaulky

I am helping someone who I care for with a claim for pip but they have not yet made the claim. What I have advised him to do is to take it slowly and steady and I am helping him by typing out all the information he gives me on a word processor then if we need to change anything we can then just go back and easily edit it. Once we have got all of the evidence written down for the claim we will then consult with out local wealfare rights group and ask them to read over the details. Also in that time we are getting together evidence both medical and anecdotal that will help to back up his claim.

You also said that you are having problems remembering and you forget easily. A PIP diary might help you with both evidence and to complete your pip form. If you complete a diary in detail writing down the problems you have for that day for each pip activity according to the descriptors in great detail then it will not only help you with filling in the form but also you could include that diary as evidence to show your problems you have each day.

I hope I have added a little extra help for you to think about :)
