Hi all,

Have just read the assessment report again. It says 'His MH medication has risen to maximum dosage since his last assessment.'

This is, to put it bluntly, a load of rubbish. The only maximum dosage I take is for one medication and it's not changed for at least 9 years!

This is the main reason they have recommended an 18 month award.

How do they come to these half-baked conclusions and secondly, how and WHY do they get away with it?

It's so unfair how they write what suits them and the negative imput it causes on peoples' lives.

Regards (from an almost pensioner who was looking forward to an ongoing review time).

Hi Phrank

You find yourself in the same position as many others, where the inner workings of the assessment process are incomprehensible. I can only say that too many don't seem suitably qualified to do the job or don't care enough to write accurate reports. It's a shame. There are good assessors, but unfortunately, there do not appear to be enough of them.

Thanks LL26 and BIS,

Yes, the incomprehensible reports have to be decifered by the claimants and put into words that the DM's understand.

Not everyone is capable of doing this (and why should anyone have to?) so most of the reports get the nod from the DM's without giving it much of s second thought.

A numbers game game for sure.

If only more people put their foot down!

Regards,

Phrank.

It makes me wonder if the Decision Makers really read the assessment reports or just go to the recommendations. I would be returning them for clarification. There seem to be so many illogical extrapolations, poor conclusions, contradictions, and bad copying. They never seem to pick them up. If they complained about them, maybe the powers-that-be would look more closely at the standard of assessments done.

Hi Dixip

I have to agree with you, I have seen some shocking assessment reports where you can see it has been copied and pasted, I have even see reports where they have not even changed the name it was copied from or the sex of the claimant.
