Hi Gary
Hope all goes well for you with neurologist.
Yes, I had a look at the link, it is really informative.

I am the same with short term memory, yet I can remember way back when I was a child.
When I log in here, I forget how to find my way around.
It takes a while lol.
I would be lost without the help and advice I get here.
I am so grateful for every bit of advice.

Thank you
Pauline

Hi
She asked me a lot of what I would have to say where trick questions.
I had already told her that I could no longer go to bed, climbing stairs where difficult for me. I had already said I sleep on the settee, her question about using the bed to put on a sock.

My reply was, No because I no longer go to bed. I also avoid socks because its too painful to try and put them on. It was the only answer I could give.

Hi Pauline

I really hope that you are able to sort this out. Do you have anyone who can do your MR for you, even if you put in all the information? I have a fear that they will argue that you have no problems with processing even though you have the medical evidence to prove it, if it is written by you. Just a thought.

If you have to do it, I would quote from the website link I gave you, saying how the condition is misunderstood. They are a reputable source.

Hi BIS,

After trying to read the PA4 over and over, I cannot make sense of it.
I rang my GP yesterday. Who advised me to call citizen's advice.
But I rang the department for communities first.

I explained my new FND diagnoses and if they wanted proof they would have to call my GP.
The lady I spoke with said " it wont make any difference" you will hear the decision soon.

I was a bit shocked at her attitude, I could feel myself getting angry. So I ended the call.
I rang what is known as advice NI. Same as citizens advice. They help with benefits etc.
I Explained my whole situation and the lady said, you are not the only person having this bad treatment.

She advised me to wait on the PIP decision. She told me that it is best to wait and see what they come up with. I explained that I had to record the assessment because the assessor would not record it. I can prove by the recording that the assessor did not tell the truth. The lady from advice NI said. If I get a wrong unfair decision, she will help me.

She said. If we had to appeal we will.
I realize that I cannot cope with this myself, I will have to have this help. I get too confused trying to sort it out by myself.

I agree with you. I fear they will argue that I have no problems with processing when I truly do. I hope I am wrong, I assumed when I have real diagnoses from consultant neurologists that they would have taking it more seriously. If PIP believe an opinion made by the assessor then I hope that my recording of the assessment will prove different.

Thanks BIS

Hi Pauline

I am glad that you have found someone who will help you. It's hard at any time to do this, and it becomes even harder when people have no knowledge or understanding of your diagnosis.

I am dropping by with an update on my PIP.
They awarded me 8 points giving me standard pip payment. I cannot believe they have ignored my suffering from PTSD and how it effects my going out even on hospital visits.
zero points for communication, zero for mixing with other people and 4 points for moving around. I have major issues with the above.
They have said they wont award me from April for mobility payment.

The good thing for me is that I have my recording on the assessment, so I can prove a lot of what was said was not true.

Can I ask anyone for advice on how I respond to this?
I know I have to fill in a form within a month to complain, I was wondering are there any other people who suffer from complex PTSD who have been rejected?

I am having problems finding the words that I need to say today. This is due to my brain injury issues. I have rang the lady from advice NI who told me to wait and see what they offer. I am waiting for her to call me back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you so much

Pauline
