Unable to request PIP Review Form

hi my wife`s pip award was due to end in july 2017, just before xmas 2016 she received a letter to say her award was now ongoing, no review form was sent, she was 56. hope that helps

Hi Kieran, When I phoned up for a ‘review form’ in 2021 [like you mine was a Tribunal win, so it would have actually been a ‘new’ claim], I was told my PIP was with the ‘review team’. I went into panic, and said “how can they possibly review when I haven’t even sent them any information?!” Anyway. I WAS sent the forms, and duly applied. I received an Award letter in about 3 weeks from them receiving it. It was for 6 years. It was obviously done by the DM.

I got Mental Health points this time [have never got them previously, and was already on enhanced both]. I can only assume a similar thing has happened to you. I appreciate how stressed you are. I would phone up and say you need a copy of your NEW Award letter, as you have not received anything. Take it from there. You need it incase you want to ask for a higher award. The start date ‘should’ be the day after your current ‘end date’.

Spoke to another agent and now I’m getting forms and apparently have 56 days to return. I wasn’t told what would happen if they weren’t processed by October 3 when the claim ends though.

I have filled in the online form for SAR with details as follows:

“ Record of all award letters and notes regarding Personal Independence Payment Claim from 2017-Present.

Reason: I have been provided different information by different service center agents and I want to check what information is actually on file regarding the current claim.”

Does this seem fine? Also in response to ‘ However, if you're just happy to complete the form - do that’ - I’d rather avoid the form if I can as it will almost certainly mean another assessment as I don’t have much up to date medical evidence other than from a support charity.
