Once IAS have confirmed they are managing your PIP review how long will it take for them to give an assessment date.I know it varies depending on where you live so i'd be grateful for any feedback from fellow claimants living in London.Thanks.

Hi Ben
Unfortunately we have absolutely no idea, will leave it up to fellow forum members to predict.

This is in my humble opinion mental , emotional and financial abuse.
I too have had my award reduced and lost mobility , still waiting on the letter.
Collectively Reviews are a farce.
They should be treated as a new claim , because essentially thats what they are.
Appeal. Appeal. Appeal. Good Luck.

Hi Daisy - The last letter I received from PIP was that they've stopped mine on 12th June, despite none of my circumstances changes. I was getting standard for Mobility and Daily Living which I believe to be correct for the points I awarded myself when checking online. I've contested it (MR stage) and recieved a text just 3 days ago saying they would let me know within 8 weeks.

I totally agree with you Daisy and I think due to the amount of claims increasing, that they're just trying to scam millions out of what they're entitled too, by hoping they won't bother to fight. A neighbour of mine applied for PIP after finding out they had cancer, and they lost the initial claim being awarded no points, and told me that they've not bothered to fight it, because they can't be fussed with all the additional paperwork and time it involves, and have instead just started working again, even though they are in pain with it. I've even had to take my UC one to the tribunal because of the lies in my assessment paper. The person who dealt with the MR said that even though some of what the assessor wrote may not be correct, they trust them to make decisions based on how I sounded and what they believe to be correct by judging the person. I've never heard so much cr@p in all my life - there's no way someone can be judged by the sound of their voice and what they say.
