Had tel assessment 9 days ago - lasted over 2hrs.
Called Capita today but report not done yet, nevermind sent to DWP.
Is the 8 week period mentioned from date of assessment or from when DWP get report from Capita?
Thanks

Hi merry

What assessment are we talking about, PIP or WCA?

If you are talking about PIP the you can ask for a copy of the assessors report, (PA4) 48 hrs after the assessment.

If you are talking about WCA then you have to wait until you get a decision letter before asking for a copy of the assessors report called a (UC85).

8 weeks is not set in stone, it varies widely across regions.

sorry PIP
Had assessment 9 days ago - called twice for a copy to be told the assessor hadn't finalised it yet? Is this normal?

sorry PIP one
Assessment was over 9 days ago - called capita twice but they said report hadn't been completed yet? They asked for reprot from gp and physio and I know both were sent off before assesment so they had them already pus all notes sent through at time of application.

pip assessment. Spoke to them twice over last 9 days since tel assessment and they (capita) said reprot not completed yet. Is this normal? All info was supplied at time of application and I know the 2 reports capita sent for had been sent in before assessment?
thanks

Hi Merry

Reports should be sent to the DWP 48 hours after an assessment has taken place - however, a small number of reports chosen at random are audited. I would ring again and ask for an explanation for why it has not been completed. If it is being audited - that's one thing - if the assessor just hasn't completed it, that's quite another and you should be given an explanation as to what is going on. The problem with the assessor taking that length of time it is very easy for them to forget who they have been talking to and mix up reports.
