Thanks Chris
I wish you loads of luck and hopefully you will get the outcome you deserve.

My letter states that I can apply for a statement of reasons, I am tempted to do this, but not sure if I am just settling myself up for more disappointment, or if I am mentally strong enough to deal with what reasons they may have given.

Has anyone else requested a statement of reasons from a Tribunal and been successful in changing the decision?

Hi Annie,

Thank you for your reply. Loads of us have received a statement of reasons, and most of us have complained that it's incorrect. Mine was 28 pages long or something and about 11 pages were full of things that weren't said or untrue, however you're normally advised to write that it's a misunderstanding, rather than a lie.

I have been successful myself twice - once at a tribunal, and once before a tribunal. But I currently have an ongoing case with UC - and its been to decision, MR, FtT, UtT, and now back to FtT. Ongoing since June 2023, so it can be very stressful and time consuming unfortunately.

Hope this helps, Chris. :)
