PIP instead of DLA (But not for the over 65's)?

That is the way I understand it too. I think I read a while back that the govt had no intention (as yet!) to change DLA over to PIP for the over 65s and children. I am 66 this year and was first awarded it in 2003.

But unfortunately he is not any more of an expert on PIP than the rest of us, the simple answer is that the situation is at best confused.

The moderators have just been discussing this very subject and have not arrived at a conclusion. The Act categorically states that nobody over retirement age is eligible to PIP and then two paragraphs later says that there wil be exceptions. The accompanying notes says these exceptions could be claimants already in receipt of PIP, so which is it :)

I think people need to just be patient until more details become available, and we will of course try to keep you all informed, remember this new Bill has not even been debated in the House of Commons yet.
