still waiting

i requested a copy of the SOR and ATOS medical report(typed copy)several weeks ago,in wirting 4 times and through phone calls 5 times.
still not received either,just phoned DWP and got cut off during transferring me to another Dept,then tried again,apparently all the lines to this other Dept are engaged and i am now awaiting a call from the DWP,who promised to call me back.
Anyone had a problem getting copies of these items?

I have done the same 4 weeks ago and heard nothing so far. No advice to give, I'm afraid - but I sympathise.

I noticed that it's written in the original letter that it is the claimant's right to request this information, and that they are asked to do this within a month. It would be good if this worked both ways though - and for a reply to be sent back within a month. I wonder if the claimant has any rights to hear back within a certain time.

I am going to get my social worker to call for me - I suspect that she will add more 'clout' - not as it should be, but often as it is. I suspect that taking the names of everyone you speak to might help too, and keeping proof of everything sent.

Thanks Laika,i am really fed up now and dont seem to be able to get the DWP to forward anything i request,they havent even replied to my 4 letters requesting the report and SOR.
Hope you have some luck too,the stress is too much and only adds to what is already a difficult life trying to cope with several disabilities.good luck

Try an email and cc your MP.

done that Towser,written complaining etc.heard twice from my mp but he got the standard reply from DLA when he made enquiries on my behalf.guess the only way now is appeal process.
