It sounds like a Decision was made on the information in your ESA50 and the evidence attached, we are seeing this happen for a lot of IB transfers.
While you are in the WRAG you are required to participate in Work Focussed Interviews, Work Related Activity and you can be forwarded to the Work Programme.
Work Focussed Interviews
Work Programme
Any activity must take into account any limitations that result from your conditions, however, failing to comply without Good Cause can lead to sanctions
Changes to ESA Sanctions
In addition, as you were on IB you will have been transferred to Contribution Based ESA which is only payable for 365 days while you remain in the WRAG. If you are also eligible for Income Related ESA, which will be dependant on your household income, assets and savings, and any hours that your partner works , then you can be transferred and payments will continue.
If you do not believe that you will be able to cope with the WRAG, then your only option is to challenge the Decision. To do this you will need to show that you meet the requirements for the Support Group.
Qualifying for the Support Group
You can ask for a Reconsideration, where another DWP Decision Maker will look at your file to see whether they can change the Decision, or you can appeal, which will include a Reconsideration, we recommend that you appeal.
Have a look at the following and if you have any questions, please reply to this post.

I too have been placed in WRAG after receiving call from DWP last week to saw migration from IB to ESA without medical, didn't say which group but did say only change is to fortnighly payments. Get letter today and states I am in WRAG, going to appeal, will keep using this excellent site and you are not alone, it seems this maybe happening to lots of us. Like you I am devastated, haven't worked for many years as was retired early due to ill health from last job(had no choice was not allowed back to work) so am very scared and worried about what job centre interviews will be like....
So you are not alone in this and thank goodness for this site

Hi P59,
If you wish to appeal the WRAG award, you only have one month from the date of the decision notice letter which informed you that you were in The WRAG.
You can do this by downloading and printing off (from around page 20) the GL24 Form from the link on this page :
How to submit an appeal
See also : What will I be paid while I appeal?
The links that Gordon has already provided should give you all the information needed to make a start on your appeal.
So the date of your first WFI should not interfere with you appealing, you should post your appeal to the address of The DWP Benefits Office on the ESA decision notice letter.
Do not miss the one month deadline.
See : Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
If you feel that you cannot attend the WFI, you should contact the JCP Adviser ASAP.
You can inform them that you are appealing to gain access to The SG, and of any problems that you may have in attending.
They can defer the WFI's or carry them out over the phone. However, these options along with an interview in one's home are purely at the discretion of the JCP Adviser.
If they still insist that you attend, you must, or face the prospect of sanctions to payment of your ESA.
They must take into account your limitations as a result of your medical conditions, and make all appropriate "Reasonable Adjustments"
