I am afraid that periodic reassessments will be part of life for all benefit claimants in the future. DWP are allowed to reassess your ESA claim at any stage once 3 months has passed since the previous decision.

So, the first question is - what is the date of the decision following the April form? If it is less then 3 months, then you should not have to be reassessed at this stage. If this is the case you should phone DWP and ask for the case to be escalated and a call-back from a supervisor who might be able to tell you what is happening.

However, unless you have something in writing to the contrary, then I'm afraid that you have no option but to fill in this form and submit it as requested otherwise your claim could be closed and payment stopped.

If I understand your post correctly, the letter you are referring to was making an appointment with you to attend a WFI at your local JC+ office.

We are talking about a letter from the DWP office dealing with your claim stating that you had been placed in the WRAG. It is the date on this letter that sets when the Decision is effective from and from which the 3 months runs from.

It is perfectly possible that you may not have received this letter, despite it being a legal requirement, the DWP often fail to send this letter to claimants, this being the case, you should contact the DWP to find out when the Decision was made and if it was less than three months, require them to stop the current re-assessment.
