I would suggest that she doesn't seem to have a grasp of what problem you are suffering from and how it might be expected to affect you!

This is exactly what the whole report is like and as if she has totally misunderstood firstly the diagnosis, secondly how it affects me and thirdly its all geared towards what she thinks trapped nerves in lower spine would affect me,but thats not my complaint, it seems that she didnt listen to anything I told her and got names of illnesses incorrect and diagnosis

Hi,

I've just been speaking to my wife, a retired staff nurse and former moderator for B & W.

I'm advised by her that 'arteritis' is now more correctly known as 'vasculitis.'

If you download the DWP's A-Z of Medical Conditions you will note that arteritis isn't listed, but arthritis and vasculitis are.

Atos HCP's are supposed to use this guide. If a HCP doesn't know the difference between arthritis and arteritis, they shouldn't be doing the job, so I stand by my previous advice.

I (as a recently retired Nurse Practitioner) agree 100%

Many thanks for your replies they are really helpful also I would like tell them about the reference she has made to nerve problem in my spine and stated it would be unlikely to cause upper limb problems and I do agree with this statement but it doesn't apply to me because my problem which is trapped and damage nerves in the neck has cause chronic pain and waekness in upper limbs but she hasn't made reference to this at all

Hi sandra,
You have my sympathy as hcp atos stated my P.I.D in the context of my mri report on my BACK? she said it was pelvic inflammatory disease I argued with her it was prolapsed intervertable discs she would not shift her opinion which was clearly wrong and I did add this in my submission to the tribunal ..I was awarded 15 points today as the hcp gave me 0?? it was not mentioned by them at all ..incompitant..good luck and complain
