Mrs Hurtyback wrote: Yes, my ESA reassessment was pushed back to March (or is it april) 2016, so I am expecting that any day now. I had decided I was going to get on with it over the Christmas break but it seems I will have to devote my attention to PIP first. I do hope I don't have to do them both at the same time!
We get 28 days to make the phone call, this is taken from the date on the letter, so it is actuallua little under that.
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes and supportive messages
Mrs HB, just a thought. Just thought Your ESA is due perhaps that's why your PIP have come early so they can decide on both.
I had heard that's there intention is to get the too together and use reports for both.
As I said in my above post try to have a nice Christmas. Good luck Hun.
I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

I too was thinking best to wait till nearer the last date permitted which is 22nd Dec, yesterday we received a reminder asking why we had not yet phoned and that if we did not soon my sons DLA would end on the 22nd Dec.
It is all so scary for everyone with major support needs. I am so stressed all the time caring for my son has become a minefield of assessment upon assessment. Just recently wrote a 36 page assessment for our local authority after government ended Independent Living Fund. Does no-one care about the disabled and sick. Funny how as soon as people are about to loose their Tax Credits everyone shouts and bangs their fists! Where are they for all the people on disability benefits who can fight the least?! Thank goodness for this site. Thank you all for being there or rather ......here!

Don't want to take this thread off topic, maybe best if it is closed soon but in response to your question on public attitudes the answer lies in the government and their poodle media peddling the myth that hard working tax payers deserve support whilst lying, cheating, workshy, scrounging sick and disabled do not. It annoys me so much that people are so gullible and unable to apply any critical thinking. We all pay tax. 20% VAT for a start.
