So, I still haven't heard anything so i rang them this morning. I was told they hadn't received the appeal decision until the 26th August, although it took place on the 1st August. I'm assuming this might be the copy of the decision notice I sent in myself in case. (I heard this happens a lot).
The man i spoke to spent some time reading out information to me, basically that they had to check the info on the decision was correct and then it would be another month they had to do this, from the date of the decision. I tried to confirm with him whether this was from the appeal date itself and he said it was. He then said there was no information about what was happening with it on the system, and to leave it a few weeks as it could be up to 12 more weeks until they decided whether or not to pay the PIP or not?!
Not sure quite what to do now. He also mentioned I could ring again in a week or two for an update. So, they don't seem to have any deadline for when they start the payment? Thanks.

It often takes around 8 weeks for payments to start, but this includes waiting for DWP to get notification of the decision. I would be inclined to give it a week or so and then ring again. You know what they say about the rusty hinge/wheel!

Thanks! I think with my first PIP, it was all done surprisingly efficiently, so I've now found out how slow they can be...i wonder if they are very understaffed or just very inefficient, not sure.

Either, or both, are perfectly likely!

I finally heard today when I called that there was a message to urgently action my PIP so it should be here ASAP. They will not be appealing the tribunal's decision. Many thanks for support on here and best wishes. OB

I got my letter today about the appeal and how they are paying me back the money they owe, the descriptors met etc.
I'm a but confused about something though- with regards to the therapy question, it says 'You need help and support to manage therapy and that therapy takes up to 3.5 hours a week' However my therapy takes much longer than that, I thought it was the length of the time prompting or supporting which was taken into account.
Is it an error on their behalf to word it like this, or should it be the length of therapy, as it states? Thanks
