PIP claim and evidence

Hi C,
This is what can happen when a member mentions/references ESA and PIP in the one topic !
I think what has confused us is that you mentioned Maximus in your query :
The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments (CHDA) (aka HAAS) (Maximus) who took over the ESA WCA Contract from ATOS on 02/03/15 only carry out ESA Asessments/Reassessments.
ATOS and/or Capita carry out PIP Assessments.
If your PIP Claim failed, besides your normal MR/Appeal rights, you could make a fresh PIP Claim immediately.
Or, you could MR/Appeal the adverse PIP Decision and make a fresh PIP Claim at the same time.
Entitlement to PIP is not dependent on your NI Contribution record/history, nor is it means tested.
People in full time employment can also be awarded PIP !
Totally different rules and qualifying criteria to ESA !!

" If they were to reject my claim immediately and not even call me for a Maximus assessment, would I be able to have another attempt at claiming in the future by which point I may have more evidence"
