I suggest you ring the DWP PIP line and ask whether they can tell you what you want to know. If not, they should be able to tell you who to contact.

Do you know if the post handling centre scan the forms there or is that further down the line?

Gosh, that was a quick reply;) Thank you. Thank you to all for all the advice, it has been a godsend as I have not been able to attend anywhere for advice and I am really unsure as to whether I would have ever got as far as actually claiming if it had not been for this site and your help, which gave me the 'support' I needed in order to be able to do it. Assuming I have no more questions meantime, I will let you know if I am successful gaining an award. Have a great Christmas (and hopefully a nice little breather from all my questions:) )

Hi all, and a Happy New Year to you. I'm back on here sooner than I expected. Grrrr, despite my GP and my psychiatrist providing letters supporting my inability to attend a medical assessment centre, I have just received an appointment to attend a medical assessment centre, I think I have to phone up the ATOS people and explain, and bring their attention to the GP and psychiatrists letters???
