I had a phone call this morning from the DWP saying they have looked again at my claim (Remember this is after I have launched an appeal to tribunial)
They said they could offer me lower living and lower mobility which would be backdated to last September and my appeal would be cancelled,
I refused, I said I would be happy with Lower living and higher mobility but not lower/lower,
I think he said I could accept the lower/lower then appeal again but I don't want to go through all that stuff again, I would rather just carry on with my original appeal,
Is all this new to you ? For the DWP to act this way ?
Regards
Steven

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It's unusual for them to have reacted so quickly with this offer but we do see, although irregularly.
The speed does suggest that their original Decision and the MR were flawed!

Hi Gordon,
Yes I think your right it was flawed but I did have a MR and was still awarded nothing !
The DWP have to reply within one month to my appeal letter to the courts and that month is up on 22nd March,
In the meantime I think they may come back angain with low living and high mobility which I would take but they would have to be quick or their month runs out.

They may now wait to see what you submit to the appeal before making another "offer", if indeed they do.

Hi Gordon
You were right, I have today received my big pile of papers from the DWP !
Do you have any idea how long the training is for the ATOS medical examiners ? The one I saw was a nurse, I would like to know how long they are trained for to enable them to be experts in all fields ?
Thanks
