Hi, i rang IAS to rebook app because i need more time to get used to speaking to them and
for it to be recorded.

so they tell me its not possible to rebook a recorded app over the phone, they will get back to me, and if i dont like that date i can rebook it.

i replied the letter states i can only rebook once. how can i verify what you said, he then allows me to choose a date/time but they will have to check and get back to me.

does someone know is this correct procedures. they cant rebook there and then because i want it recoded .

a few years back they let me rebook there and then to my time and date , not ask recorede that time though.
thanks.

Hello ccc,

The problem is that many of the assessors will not agree to carry out a recorded assessment. So it is not as simple for IAS to make you a new appointment. So, given that, what you have said does not sound unreasonable.

Hi, i just realised after 2 weeks from the rebooked appointment letter IAS sent me (made clear to them on 25/05/21 im rebooking because i want it recorded) it does not say anywhere i asked for the assessment to be recorded in the letter.

now im well worried theve pulled a fast one, and wont, and will deny i asked for it to be recorded.

Thanks for your help.

Hi ccc

Give them a ring to clarify that the session will be recorded, inform them that the letter you have received does not state the appointment will be recorded as agreed.

Can i ask here, should i complain about the assessor as the person would not tell me full name, what sort of nurse she is, did she work for the nhs or gp, how long been nurse, would not give her nurse number.
all she said was she works for IAS and dosnt have to tell me.

and the dwp would take 2 months to contact me.

I ask because as will try to make complaint about assessor through MP because she wouldnt give me those details, an honest one would give those details, as i dont trust the assessor, as we know they get bonuses to shaft claiments.

IT was a full one not the MR activity 11 i put in for.

Thanks for any help.
