I have not seen my consultant since 2016 because nothing could be done for my arthritis and bent spine ,also I didn't start getting pip until 2017 so the consultant will not know how much my condition has got worse in 5 years ,he has received a letter though ,but my Dr has not up to get hope it will be ok many thanks .

My Dr received a letter too so is doing that do they send it back to capita by email or post it's getting me so stressed just want it over with capita agreed to do paper based after my daughter called them ,sent lots of paper work and Drs letters heard it's rare for them to contact Drs and consultant wasn't even on pip on 2016 when I last saw my consultant ,nothing more he can do it's a life long spinal problem no operation would work ,just so confused by it all any advice please Thank you all

Hello Binky,
Unfortunately the whole process is stressful. It is good that you have your daughter to support you through it. You are right it is unusual for them to ask GP / Consultants for more information, but it is more normal when they are doing a paper based assessment. I cannot see anything in what you have said which would cause me concern.
At this point there is little more you can do other than wait for the decision maker to make a decision. At that point, if you don't like what they come back with then please do come back to us for advise about what you can do next.

Could you tell me please does the Drs evidence and the consultant requested by capita for paper based assessment go straight to capita or dwp Wolverhampton and then what happens been 6 weeks now and my mom is getting very stressed Thank you once more .

I assume this request was made in writing. I should send it to the address on the letter you were sent. If you're worried then phone the DWP and ask.
