Hi Julie,
Respect and politeness are totally free. However, it appears that the awful man to whom you spoke seems to thrive on being rude. This is totally unacceptable. Probably you should make a complaint, however, I appreciate that you are struggling to deal with the demands placed upon you by DWP, and may not want to do this.
And, I totally agree with the other comments. You are definitely not worthless! Not in the slightest.
Continuing Gary's idea, I am wondering whether there might be a local help scheme which supports people making calls etc. Some sort of Good Neighbour scheme or Befriending perhaps? Otherwise volunteers often can be found at local churches (for everyone, not just church goers,) who may provide this kind of support.
I hope you can find some help.
Good luck.

Hi Julie Butler,
I'm so very, very pleased for you. Your posts have given me hope as I do not yet receive PIP.
What makes me angry is the way that DWP staff and assessment providers treat claimants: we are made to feel like 2nd class citizens and it is shameful!
Your determination to not givie up, despite the attempts to intimidate and bully you, really fill me with inspiration and admiration.
Thank you
Susie
