Hi Gary, great advice thank you very much :)
Yes, everything I have sent so far - whether to UC or PIP - I have sent recorded.

The call is Tuesday so I will report back. I wonder if the same thing will happen for PIP then? The letter came from Universal Credit

Cheers

Hi Brian, just in case you weren't planning for it, always a good ide to make a recording of your assessment call. All legit for personal use. Hope it goes so well you don't need to refer back to your recording!

Hi Brian

I don't know which type of form you filled in for your PIP. It will be the first or second link shown on the page. In the first link telephone assessment information starts on page 105 and on the second link it starts on page 91

Hi All,

I have just come off the phone from Universal Credit 'Health Assessment Advisory Service' (I still do not know if this is to do with my PIP claim or just UC??) but I have to report that is was such a lovely call! A Doctor introduced himself, he said thank you for sending all the evidence and informed me that the DWP had actually written to my doctor (so it does happen then!?) because I told them in writing that I had tried three times asking and they said, 'No, we do not do that. If the DWP wish to ask us anything, they will write.'

So.. that was good :) But I have to report here that the Doctor had not only read ALL my info (and I sent a lot!) that he thanked me for making the effort and he said he was sorry to hear how badly I was effected by my mental & health issues.

The call lasted 13 mins and I have to say, he even said at the end that he would DEFF write to DWP confirming all I said in the paperwork I had confirmed over the phone, he was just really lovely.

So, I wanted to share that with anyone who is going to receive a call from Universal Credit Health Assessment because - even though I was panicking - it was quite a pleasant experience tbh!!

I would like to ask though, if you know will I receive 'another' call then to do with my PIP claim or is this it??

Thank you for ALL your assistance here with the guides and advice etc, I really could not have done this without you. I will have to wait 6-8 weeks (he said) but we knew that already didn't we.

As usual, I will keep you posted and feel free to use what I have said if it can help anyone else?

Hi Brian

Thank you for posting and letting us know that you had a positive experience with your assessment. You say 'I have just come off the phone from Universal Credit 'Health Assessment Advisory Service' therefore I would assume it was for UC WCA form and yes you will need another assessment for PIP. There is talk that DWP may at some point in the future merge both assessments but I am not aware of it happening yet. if it does happen you will hear about it in our free newsletter providing you have signed up to receive it.

If the assessment was for WCA then you cannot get a copy of the assessors report (UC 85) until a decision has been made.

We look forward to receiving your next report.
