backdated payments

yes gordon i was told this the other day. apparently we made a new claim from the 8th of april. so for 1 day the 7th, we lose 2 years backdated money. ive fought for 2 and a half years with the dwp over this. and as far as i can see its a loophole created to stop people claiming this. we have beg stolen and borrowed in all that time. we didnt even know we had made a new claim. and that isnt due to the fact we are halfwits!! i feel we were duped onto the new claim. im gonna seek help from an m.p. this terrible loophple needs closing
