Wow that was fast. I`m in Bristol so maybe this area is slow. The very best wishes with your appeal.

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place but I am new to this. My query is also regarding ESA reassessment but my worry is that I have received a response far too quickly.. There is only about 9 days roughly, in between my sending back the ESA50 form and the letter calling me for a medical. I sent about 60 pages of medical information/reports with the ESA form (overkill, I know and not all as important info) but last time I sent nothing in at first and went through a v. lengthy and v. stressful appeal). I hoped that by sending in medical evidence in the first instance, I might not have to attend a medical this time. Obviously not but how can approx 9 days be enough for them to read and assess everything when everyone else seems to wait considerably longer and also in my area?

We do ask members not post in other people's topics to avoid confusion but as it appears a number of responses have already been made in this topic, I'll ignore it on this occasion, but in future please create a new topic and then keep all of your questions in that one topic.

I would not read anything into your ESA50 being processed so quickly it just means that in your area there is no queue for assessments.

Thanks for your response. It is because of people in my area who were sent the ESA before me and are still waiting to hear re the medical over 2 months later, compared to my 9 days turnaround, that I was concerned. As they seem to be reassessing the same area, it seems strange the difference in waiting times. I stated on the form that i would need to arrange to bring someone, a support worker or friend but i do not have enough time to arrange this now and am concerned that they might not have even read the medical info I sent. I am worried about phoning them for fear of them reading something into it that I called myself or them agreeing another date which might not be put in writing. Advice services are very few and far between in my area with long waiting lists.
