A certain number of reports are kept back for audit, so that is one possibility.

Sorry to hear about your horrible PIP assessment....I suffer with MH issues...and had a similar event with a DWP assessor a few years ago for DLA...The person tried to say all kinds of things..And totally ignored half the evidence I had in support of my claim...I went to appeal and the decision was made in my favour after a person on the panel (who I later found out was a MH Professional)...overturned the original decision within minutes ...If they give you a poor result..Go through the channels and challenge it...As long as you score the points you will win at appeal if they try and say your not successful ..Good luck ...

I rang for a copy of my report three weeks ago and was told I should receive it in 10 day. When it didn't turn up I rang them again at 12 days and was told that it had not yet been sent out due to staff shortages. I rang back last week at 3 weeks and told yet again it had not been posted due to staff shortages. Since then I have heard of other applicants being told that copies of assessment reports are no longer being sent out to applicants before they have been informed of their reward. So I don't know whether to believe the DWP or not - for all I know they could be lying and saying the delay in sending out my report is due to staff shortages when what they really mean is thet don't want me to see the report until my award is sent!

I'm just wondering if people who challenge right up to tribunal actually carry on using disabled bus pass or whether I need to stop using it if I don't score the points required,. Any input would be good.

Also, I need to send more evidence, do I send this to DWP (which is in Wolverhampton or DLA at Warbreck house?

TIA

Forgot to mention still using blue badge. I know I am predicting the worst outcome but i'm convinced I won't get anywhere due to the nature of the Assessor.

Hi Diane,

I think you will be best to look at the terms and conditions of your buss pass (I expect you can find these on-line) but I wouldn't expect you to have to stop using it ( certainly not at this stage).

The same applies to your Blue Badge at the moment although you might need to reapply via your local council if you do not gain the required mobility points for PIP.
