PIP ends in April, new claim rather than AR1 route

Hello there.

After nearly 2 weeks I've still not received the initial pack to apply for PIP again.
Called today and they will send another out. Will I have 28 days to return this latest form, otherwise I've already lost half of the allowable time? The guy at DWP seemed a little unclear on the matter.

Thanks, as always.

Hi Boomer, if you didn't already note the exact time of the call and any name of the person you spoke to that they would give [ie they don't tell you surnames], probably call again and do so, and make it clear you expect the date to be from the resend and simply expect them to confirm this as their colleague did not do so.
The post office are not just slow in some places, stuff is definitely going missing [recent personal experience] and you should not be penalised for this. Meantime you can be preparing your answers using the member guides on here. Best wishes, Denby

Thank you denby,

I'll be pinning them down on a date pending the date on the letter... once it arrives.

The form itself will be filled out based on the one I did 4 years ago (and kept a copy of) as my health has not changed much at all.

A little silly to have to apply from "new" but such is the penalty of winning at a tribunal it seems...

Hohum...

Well, a brown envelope turned up today but not the expected one.

In it it simply asks 2 questions, do I live abroad and am I receiving "foreign" benefits? Then goes on to say I can send the letter back with the answers or just call them.

I've already answered those 2 questions when I made the initial call. So... I'll call them again rather than post the letter.
Then the wait will have to begin again for the "real" claim form to arrive.

I'm guessing a lot of people will be getting this new initial letter now due to that "B" thing that occurred on the 1st Jan.

Annoying because as I said, I answered both those questions in my initial call to the DWP.

Hello once more. The "how does your disability effect you" form turned up yesterday.

May I ask if there is any good reason to also attach the judgment, in my favour, from my tribunal a few years back? It simply summarises the points awarded in each category etc. My illness had remained static since that date.

I was thinking of attaching it along with all the medical evidence etc. of course.

Was going to mention that I supply it out of a profound wish not to have to go through that process again, which is absolutely genuine I assure you. Or would it just come across as combative to the assessor/ HP perhaps?

As always, thank you for the advice.
