Good morning,

We checked online and the letter was signed for on the 4th Dec.
Husband/carer phoned DWP this morning at 8am to discuss the matter re the letter arrived on Sat morn, our letter sent to them and signed for on the 4th.
Pleasant lady confirmed the letter we received was a 'generated' one and yes on file it does state we have an extension to the 3rd Jan.
She was polite and friendly and said not to worry !!!!
We have listed all this on our 'current' file of correspondence etc whilst sorting out our PIP2 form.

Where we are so far.
So far we have got an excellent letter of support from our MP.
A letter/report is being typed up by our GP for support - hopefully.
Tommorrow my OT is coming to do a full assessment, followed up by a report to add credence to the PIP2 form.

We are hoping that with 4 short letters/reports both historical and present from various specialists, along with the GP report/OT report and letter of support from our influential MP and completion of the form to the best of our ability which has been helped by having a supportive ME Benefit advisor/helper we should be on the way of getting somewhere.

Good luck to you all out there.

I hope my journey thru the minefield with the various questions asked and responses helps one and all out there.

Thank you

Good morning,

Well here we are at this point in time with a really good report from my GP, it does need a bit of a tweak as she got muddled with my Ind Injury award and DLA. But she did say she would redo any bits that I thought required adjusting.
Also I must add, this report, I did not have to pay for it.
Time is the problem tho with Xmas upon us and she only does a day or so a week, however this will be the reason why we will ask for another extension.
Then we shall have a good report from my GP, one from the Occ Therapist who is a Consultant and a decent letter from our MP to assist us.
Now all we have to do is actually start to do the form.
We have copied it x 2 in order to play around with it before writing up the actual PIP form.
So it is really up to what and how we write the form, in other words 'the ball is in our court', so to speak.

Good luck to all out there in the same boat.

Merry Christmas to one and all and may 2016 give us some good news and life becomes easier.

Hi there,

GP surgery just phoned to say that the letter I asked for to be re jigged has been done.
Husband going up to collect it shortly.

The GP was only in the practice today (1 day only this week) and the only GP on today.. She was mega busy and I really did not expect in any shape or form for her to have time to see my changes, let alone getting the secretary to type up the letter.
So very kind and helpful of them.

It shows that sometimes the GP's are in our court after all.

For those that need help from their GP Practise, many are kind enough to assist where they can and it must be the way one approaches the situation with them that helps the cause.

Take care out there.

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to one and all.

Hiya,

We are now beginning the process of writing out the form, yuk.

Q3A)
Do you use an aid/appliance to cook a simple meal
What do I put here please
tick yes/no /sometimes.

I am unable to cook due to my health probs mobility/numbness etc so the carer/husband does all the cooking, so do I tick yes or no??.

If I tick no do I write beside it, 'I cannot cook a meal because of my disabilities?

Many thanks
