Update.

Today I had a meeting with a specialist in helping with my PIP2 form via M.E group in Dorset.

Lovely lady who helped me enormously.

For those trying to do the form themselves I would recommend finding someone who can help you.

Good luck out there one and all.

I also discovered that many of those being asked to do PIP2 from DLA now, are those with high rate awards for either or both categories of DLA.
In other words, those with the highest need for requiring help, being in the firing line first, cost cutting or what !!!!

Hi,
just wanted to say we are sending you all our best wishes. I am an appointee for my son who has also just received the dreaded letter. He too has been on indefinite DLA higher rate mobility and care since old enough to claim. He is now 33 and his cerebral palsy which affects every part of his body has not changed nor will it other than possibly making life harder as the aging process kicks in alongside the CP!

Our deadline to cal is literally 3 days before Christmas. I am finding life so stressful anyway but with all these changes that are being set to really really put us through the mill life is proving very hard. My son is a joy but all this makes life feel very dark.

My heart goes out to you and everyone else who is in need of safety nets. I too may be back to this site for help and advice.I do not know what we would all do without you lovely people on here. Thank you and good luck pusscatsmum.

Hi one and all
Latest update.

I had contacted the DWP to ask for an extension of time and it was agreed on the phone.
I followed it up with a letter to them for it to be signed for.
(kept a copy of said letter and proof of it being sent)

This morning I received a letter from them - computer generated- reminding me my PIP2

OOps previous sent before finishing it. My laptop is being replaced cos it is too old.

The letter received from DWP, this morning, informs me that I have until the 20th Dec to send in the PIP 2 Form in by, otherwise my DLA will cease immediately.

So this means they have either not been notified that there is an extension til the 3rd Jan, or have ignored it, or have decided not to agree to the new verbal time frame or some other reason !!!

Husband my carer will phone them on Monday morning at 8am to see what they suggest we do.

Any ideas out there for our best foot forward in this stupidity!!!

Many thanks

The letter was probably actioned before you rang them and it was noted on the system that you have an extension or it is an error. They love blaming errors on computers but I always say computers don't make errors, people do!!
Since you have written as well and sent it registered sign for it should not cause a poblem but for peace of mind perhaps your husband can just ring to confirm. Can you check online that your letter has been signed for?
