Just a quick question, I sent off PIP form and all the accompanying paraphernalia via special delivery this morning. Hopefully they should rceive it tomorrow. Does anyone know how soon after they receive it I will hear anything from Capita? Thanks.
Hi mcw,
They "may" confirm receipt, but you will probably only hear from the Assessment Provider (AP) if they require you take part in a F2F.
People were hearing back within a fortnight after returning their PIP 2, but the system has slowed down, so it is now a case of "how long is a piece of string".
Once you have proof that your PIP 2 has been delivered, the ball is in their court, although you could of course contact them for an update after a fortnight or so.
Good luck !!

I saw my GP today, I was asking about the medical form that MAY be sent to my GP from Capita, I had a look st it on this site and to be honest I don't think my GP would know most of the answers regarding my limitations.
Following Gordon's excellent advice I asked my GP if she would welcome a letter from me outlining the difficulties I have in relation to the PIP descriptors so that if she does receive the medical form she can complete it far more accurately.
She said she often ticks don't know or leaves it blank because unless a patient has made her aware of certain limitations she of course won't know, and our hard pressed GP's simply don't want to waste valuable time in consultations asking about them or don't know about them.
I am happy to say she was very receptive to the idea of me sending her a letter to include in my notes, not just for this assessment but for future ones.
I would advise that other B&W members consider doing the same if they don't think their GP is going to know about their limitations with regard to either PIP or ESA. They won't know unless we tell them.
She did say they were inundated with PIP medical forms at the moment so here's hoping Capita contact her.

I have received a letter today offering an appointment on April 29th at 9.25. I am very disappointed it is not a home visit as I had asked for one and thought I had made my limitations regarding travelling, social anxiety very obvious. Also it is at 9.25am which is far too early for me, I won't be able to make it for then regardless.
Please can you tell me how I go about changing this to a home visit? Thanks.

You won't get a home assessment without the support of your GP, they need to write a letter explaining why you cannot attend at the AP's offices.
If you cancel this appointment then you will have to attend the next one whatever the arrangement or you risk your claim being closed.
I would not cancel the current appointment until you have everything in place for a home assessment.
