Thank you

I have indeed received a appointment for 15 th of June ...I am totally stressed out by this ...the journey is 45.4 miles away each way
...I will be in extreme pain and totally stressed by this journey...I have no way of getting there at the moment can't dive or use public transport..by the time I got to this interview I would be in no fit state for it to take place..I stated this on my form....With family circumstances as they are at the present time I would have no one to go with me and therefore I could not go myself...I have no idea what else they want me to tell them if I have to go through everything that was written on my form I will be there for hours and would be in a complete state....They have my doctors letter stating my conditions..I have no evidence from the 80s..but they must ..I have provided them with letters from a couple of people I am seeing now and a x Ray report about my spine...I was signed off by my consultants from the 80s/early 90s ..nothing more they could do..I feel this has gone against me....I was going to phone atos today to ask what I would need to do to obtain a home visit..but as yet have not because I am in a state ...need to phone my g.p and ask her to fax them as well haven't done that either...I am finding it difficult to cope with this and the family situation at the moment ..To be honest I never thought a face to face at a assement centre was on the cards always had home visits for dla..and was put straight in the support group for esa without a face to face...Surely that goes in some way showing how disabled I actually am ..???

Concentrate on speaking to your GP, without a fax from them nothing is likely to happen, once this has been done then you can contact AP.

Hi
Well what can I say I phoned Atos this morning to cancel my appointment due to a family death and was rudely told did I know that was my only allowed cancellation despite the circumstances...Then I asked why I was not allowed a home assessment well you attend hospital appointments don't you ..well yes because my consultant won't come to my house and I don't have a c.t scanner in my living room...well I will get my doctor to fax you ...to say why I need a home visit ...don't bother we take no notice of those and we don't have a fax number anyway...who has made the descion I don't need a home assessment a health professional has ok I said well can I have there name and qualifications no he replied you will have to phone the dwp for that so I did no they can't give me that because they have nothing to do with it till it goes back to them....I quoted reasonable adjustment disability discrimination act ect ..I even quoted stuff from atos website back at atos guy ..he told me that's not on our website despite me reading it direct from there ...you are on the wrong website he said....this is what I am dealing with...I am at a loss ..I might as well start on the MR now ...in the meantime I am at a complete loss as how I am exexpected to get there and partcipate in the interrogation process...

Without offering an excuse for their attitude you need to remember that you are talking to an administrator who's only responsibility is to keep the assessors diaries full, they have no access to your form or anything associated with it.

You still need to get your GP to produce a letter explaining why you cannot attend at their offices. This can then be (e)mailed to ATOS.

I would to inform you that after several heated e mails and many uses of the disability discrimination act and atos own wording from their website..and asking for my file to be looked at again by someone else ...I have just received a e mail granting me a home visit ...so that's a weight of my mind..l know that's no guarantee of a positive outcome ...but it's a weight off ..now to prepare for my home assessment...

Hi
I have my home assessment on Monday ...a bit worried to say the least...it's scheduled for between 9 and 11 that is when the Gestapo will arrive....I am just wondering how long this process is likely to take ....???I don't have any form of photo id will this be a problem ???Quite what else they expect me to tell them I don't understand I detailed every aspect of my daily life down to the last detail....they have a g.p letter stating my disabilities including my stroke 36 years ago which causes me the most issues ...I am worried they won't have enough time or writing stamina to accurately take down what I tell them I gave detailed answers on separate sheets of paper for every question will they have the patience to take down everything ???the medical that they conduct is a worry too I can't do much physically anyways but I have fallen today and injured my self ..and can barely walk at all ...I can only manage short distance a on normal days less than the 20 metres ..but at the moment it's hardly at all a few steps,at most and that's agony ..can I refuse on that or should I try anyway???Do I ask the assessor their qualifications ????Sorry for all the questions probably think of a few more before long so apologies in advance...All this on the same week it is my uncle's funeral it is a bit much :(
