Thank you.I do feel rather stupid but perhaps i have been reading too much but I had got impression that a phone call would or could be the thing and if missed then our time to appeal would be reduced.But if there has to be a written letter giving decision then I can relax a little rather than constantly worry ing that my son may miss a call.Thanks.

I've always assumed the DM has access to all the original submissions for any MR - medical evidence, PA4, and completed PIP2 form. Thus, if you have no further evidence to supply, then any MR request/submission makes reference to all or any evidence already in the DM's possession.

Phew, for a minute there, I imagined a DM staring at a submission letter wondering what all the references to 'previously submitted paperwork' were about :)

hello, my son just got a text message saying - we are reviewing your IB case .We will make a decision by 16/02/2016.We.ll call you if we need more info.The number may show as unknown or will begin with 0800. His assessment was for ESA - what does IB mean ? And any other advice on this would be appreciated.thank you

IB refers to Invalidity Benefit which is being replaced by ESA so he definitely won't get IB.
