There is no point in you ringing ATOS, they will have no interest, their only role is to produce the report .

You need to wait until you have received a Decision and then consider whether you need to take further action.

Hi again

Following home f2f 1st week of August I got the obligatory text on 11th August saying we now have all the info we need etc. They subsequently told me on the phone it would be 2 - 3 weeks before i heard their decision. Fast forward 2 - 3 weeks I received a letter dated 23rd August saying weve now got the information and reports we need .... longer than expected for decision ...blah blah... is this normal, please?

Thank you

Journey update:

I now know I will be transferring from a DLA award to a PIP award. I know this because housing benefit wrote to say they have new information from DWP that I have been awarded PIP.

Is it me or is this really off? Surely I should have been the first to know? Frankly i wish i had never been bullied into signing up to the council being in touch with DWP by the county council welfare benefits assessor when he came to assess me for a care contribution recently. I have had nothing but ignorant repeated mistakes from housing/council tax benefits ever since, like ignoring the fact I am exempt from non dependant deductions due to being in receipt of care component of DLA.

My question really is: can I withdraw this permission for council to receive info from DWP following this harrassment, lengthy phone calls to clarify and customer service apologies...twice?

Thanks

I can understand the frustrations you are having with your LA but I don't see how this would work, many of the benefits you receive from your council are the result of your receiving Social Security benefits from the DWP, if your LA can't talk to them then how will you receive these benefits.
